RPLRPL Guide

Terms of Use

Last updated: —

Draft — not legal advice. Written to match what the site actually claims and does. Have it reviewed by an Australian lawyer, and fill in every [square-bracketed] field, before you take traffic. The clauses about what we are not matter most: they are what keeps the marketing on the right side of the ASQA rules and the Australian Consumer Law.

These terms apply to your use of rplguide.com, operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (ABN [ABN]), trading as RPL Guide (“we”, “us”). By using the site you accept them.

What we are

We are a referral and matching service. We help people who have industry experience find a Registered Training Organisation that can assess them for Recognition of Prior Learning.

What we are not

The eligibility check

The check on this site is an indicative screening tool only. It is not an assessment, and its result is not a decision about your competency. Only a Registered Training Organisation can assess you and decide whether you meet the requirements of a qualification.

No guarantee of outcome

Nothing on this site is a promise that you will receive a qualification, a licence, a job, a promotion or any particular income. Every applicant must supply evidence and be assessed as competent against the current training package. Gap training may be required. Licensing decisions are made by the relevant state or territory authority against their own criteria, which include matters beyond a qualification.

Fees

Using this site and the eligibility check is free. Assessment services are provided by the Registered Training Organisation you are referred to, under a separate agreement between you and them, at their fees and on their terms. We may receive a referral fee from that organisation. This does not change what you pay.

Information you give us

You agree that the information you give us is true and complete, and that you will not submit someone else’s details without their permission. Assessment relies on genuine evidence of your own work; supplying false evidence to an RTO may be a criminal offence.

Contact consent

By submitting the form you agree we and the organisation we refer you to may contact you about your enquiry by phone, SMS and email. You can opt out at any time. See our Privacy Policy.

Third-party content

Qualification names, training package codes and regulator names on this site belong to their respective owners and are used to describe the pathway only. Their appearance does not imply endorsement.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees. To the extent the law allows, we exclude liability for loss arising from your use of this site or from any dealings with a training organisation we refer you to, and our liability is limited to resupplying the referral service or paying the cost of doing so.

Changes

We may change these terms. The version on this page at the time you use the site is the one that applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], Australia.
